September 8 - Maryland Women's Coalition for Health Care Reform - "Women of Color Get It" Conference http://www.mdhealthcarereform.org/
September 10 - "Beyond the Wire Radio Show" - Featured Guest will be Dr. Peter Beilenson, Baltimore County Health Officer. Dr. Beilenson will join the show's co-hosts to discuss his new book: "Tapping into The Wire" according to a bio of the new book "Tapping into The Wire" uses the television series as a road map for exploring connections between inner-city poverty and drug-related violence. NOTE: Dr. Beilenson and his co-author, Patrick McGuire are scheduled to appear at a book launch event being held in their honor at the Enoch Pratt Central Library on Tuesday, September 10 at 6:30 PM.

September 16 - "Beyond the Wire Radio Show" - Featured guest: Rafael Alvarez, noted author and former newspaper man - Mr. Alkvarez will appear on BTW to discuss the new book: "The Tuerk House" - In "The Tuerk House" Rafael Alvarez covers the institution's founding and changes in philosophy of treatment over the years" NOTE: Mr. Alvarez is scheduled to appear at a book launch event being held in his honor at the Enoch Pratt Central Library on Tuesday, September 17 at 6:30 PM.

Septemer 24 - "Beyond the Wire Radio Show" - Featured guest: Dr. Oxiris Barbot, Health Commissioner Baltimore City. Dr. Barbot joins co-hosts Dr. Debra Furr-Holden and Carlos Hardy to discuss the Mayor's Healthy Baltimore Initiative and other health policy issues.
