The Office of Workforce Development and Training is a unit of the Population-Based Behavioral Health Division of the Behavioral Health Administration. Our mission is to design and deliver addictions training to meet the varied needs of professionals across Maryland who work with at risk, substance abusing, and substance dependent individuals and their families. For over thirty years, the Office of Workforce Development and Training has responded to the needs of beginning and experienced addictions practitioners by providing high quality continuing education training.
The Office of Workforce Development and Training sponsors courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences throughout the year, in both commuter and residential settings. We offer a wide array of training topics, from basic to advanced, and base our curricula on research demonstrating effective prevention and treatment practices. In addition to scheduled training, customized training designed to meet your agency’s unique needs is also provided.
Over 2000 students participate in training events each year. Our satisfaction rate is 97%.
